Taylor takes Batesville IMCA Modified Victory

Racing veteran Jeff Taylor turned a guest appearance in Kelby Wright’s ONE Salvage No. ONE / Kevin O’Sullivan Motorsports / Adam’s Mobile Welding & Millwright / Shaw Race Car / Klein Racing Engine Modified into a Victory on Saturday night at Batesville Motor Speedway.

On Saturday, Locust Grove, Arkansas’ Jeff Taylor entered the IMCA Modified portion of the Bad Boy 98 at his hometown Batesville Motor Speedway driving the Raptor Designs Inc. No. ONE car for Wright Racing. He came away with the win over 22 other Modified drivers.

Taylor started third and finished second in his heat race, putting him eighth on the grid for the A-Main. He charged forward seven spots to take the lead on the second circuit of the 20-lap main event on the 3/8-mile, high-banked oval. Taylor then led the rest of the way to claim his first checkered flag of the season.

He was followed across the line by Adam Maple, Travis Mosley, Spencer Hartwick and Blake Burns.

Kelby is slated to return to the driver’s seat this Saturday at Batesville Motor Speedway in an IMCA Modified Weekly Racing Series Event.
