Podium finish in second round of Bristol Dirt Nationals

Taking part in the inaugural Bristol Dirt Nationals to kick off his 2021 season, Jeff Taylor was one of 115 Modifieds on hand at Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Monday night as preliminary events got underway. Starting his heat race in fourth, Taylor got spun around while challenging the leader that dropped him back to fifth.

With time constraints and the track’s curfew shifting his feature to mid-day Tuesday, Jeff improved one spot in the 20-lapper to finish 17th.

On Wednesday afternoon, Taylor marched forward six spots in his heat race to register a fourth-place finish. Locked into the ninth-starting position for the his A-Qualifier, Jeff passed six cars in the 20-lap affair to place third, trailing Ricky Thornton Jr. and Kyle Heckman across the line with Paul Stone and Justin O’Brien rounding out the Top-5.

Thursday night’s program fell victim to Mother Nature.

Earning the 19th-starting position for Friday night’s feature via preliminary events, Jeff gained two spots to place 17th.
