Pair of Podium Finishes to Kick Off Winter Nationals

Making the trek west, Jeff Taylor invaded Cocopah Speedway (Somerton, Arizona) on Thursday evening to kick off the IMCA Winter Nationals presented by Yuma Insurance. In a field of 49 cars, Taylor jumped up two spots in his heat to register a runner-up finish behind Chaz Baca. Earning the eighth-starting position for the A-Main, Jeff passed six cars in the 25-lapper to place 2nd behind Ricky Thornton Jr. with Jake O’Neil, Tom Berry Jr., and Kollin Hibdon rounding out the Top-5.

The following night, Jeff came in 5th in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 5 into the A-Main, Taylor posted a runner-up finish behind Tim Ward which positioned him 18th on the starting grid for the main event. On Saturday evening, Taylor secured his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Tim Ward. Rolling off fourth, Jeff jumped up two positions to place 2nd behind Jake O’Neil with Casey Arneson, Bobby Hogge IV, and Lance Mari completing the Top-5 finishers.
