Taylor Tallies First Win of the Season at West Plains

On Saturday night, Jeff Taylor enjoyed Victory Lane for the first time this season. He piloted the Cameron Rank-owned No. 44 Shaw Race Cars Modified to the win at Legit Speedway Park in West Plains, Missouri.

“I had a blast driving for Cameron on Saturday night,” Taylor said. “This was a much-needed win. We’re finding some speed and it’s been fun meeting and helping the new guys in the Shaw camp. Thanks to everyone that supports our team.”

On Saturday, Taylor jumped up two spots in his heat race to pick up the win. Starting the feature in seventh, Jeff slowly worked his way to the front, overtaking leader Steve Picou on the final corner of the last lap to capture his first win of the season. Picou, Mark Norris, Tyler Vinson, and Sawyer Crigler trailed him to the checkers in the 20-lap affair.

Earlier in the weekend, Taylor visited Batesville Motor Speedway to drive the Carl Murphrey-owned No. X2M Modified. After taking command of the lead early in the feature, brake issues forced Jeff to retire early from the race.
