November 23rd, 2014 - Taylor Back in Victory Lane with Arizona Triumph
While the weekend may not have started on the best note, Jeff Taylor rebounded on Sunday afternoon with a trip to Victory Lane in the Inaugural Desert Thunder Nationals at Central Arizona Speedway (Casa Grande, Arizona).

Jeff piloted his #5 Industrial Electric/Taylor Chassis Open Wheel Modified in the $3,000-to-win event that opened on Saturday evening with a stout field of forty-one entries filling the pit area.

Taylor started third in his heat race before racing to the win, which positioned him starting seventh in the evening's preliminary feature. Jeff went on to register a third place finish behind race winner, Jesse Sobbing and Ricky Thornton Jr. however, he was disqualified following a post-race technical issue. Taylor was credited with a 25th place finish.

Sunday afternoon saw Taylor looking for redemption as he started his outing much like the day before, advancing from fourth to win his heat race to lock into the third starting spot for the finale. In the main event Jeff mounted a great charged to score his ninth victory of the season over Ricky Thornton jr., Cody Graham, Tyler Mecl and Hunter Marriott.

November 15th, 2014 - Jeff Taylor Competes in 2014 Duel in the Desert
Jeff Taylor made the long tow to The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Las Vegas, Nevada) over the weekend to compete in the 2014 edition of the Duel in the Desert, which posted a $7,777 top prize for competitors. Tyler Hagen Photo

A talent-laden field of over 200 IMCA Open Wheel Modifieds entered the program, which kicked off on Thursday evening. A third place finish in his heat race send Taylor to a b-main, where he raced to a win to lock into the 25 lap, preliminary feature. Jeff then raced from deep in the field to register a solid ninth place finish at the checkered flag.

Friday night's preliminary program saw Jeff race to a convincing heat race win to lock into the evening's 25 lap feature. Taylor went on to record a fourth place finish in the final rundown behind race winner, Terry Phillips, Jordan Grabouski and R.C. Whitwell.

Via his performance on Friday evening Taylor locked into the fourteenth starting spot for the 40 lap finale on Saturday night. In the feature Jeff battled around mid-pack for much of the event before advancing to a ninth place finish in the final rundown.
