June 27th, 2014 - Taylor Finishes Second in Clash at the Creek
1Jeff Taylor entered the annual Clash at the Creek at 141 Speedway (Francis Creek, Wisconsin) over the weekend, which posted a $10,000 top prize for competitors.

A talented field of sixty-nine entries were on hand for the event, and Wednesday night's program was highlighted with double heat races. In the first heat Jeff raced to a second place finish, and in the second heat he powered his #5 Jeff Taylor Racing/Industrial Electric/Taylor Chassis/Mullins Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified. His point tally at the end of the night positioned him starting third in Saturday night's main event.

In Saturday's main event Taylor worked his way around Darin Duffy for the second spot by lap 20 of the 50-lapper, right before the only caution flag of the race would wave. When the race restarted, pole sitter Mike Mullen continued to motor away out front with Taylor in tow. Mullen entered lap traffic with 12 laps remaining but would not falter as he worked through two- and three-wide lapped cars on his way to victory. Taylor settled in second followed by Josh Long, Darin Duffy, and James Tebon.
